New website covers the old days of Powerlite

This website is dedicated to the first 10 years of Powerlite before it was merged with GT Bicycles.  I read in the forum people had trouble finding information on Powerlite so I ccreated this site. The first time I went into a bike shop to build a race bike, I walked out with Sal Zeuner’s  MCS Z1 and  set of Peddlepower forks, both in white. My mom took pictures of me on the bike, but they are at my step moms house and I probably will never see them again.

Please feel free to submit any pictures (scans) you may have and info.

Before powerlite there was peddlepower and my old neighbor off of St. James street who started the business, Mr. Rink. Mr. Rink and his son Mark are really the first people who brought organized bmx racing and new innovated frames and bikes to Orange California. Mr. Rink was the first to give me a start in bmx racing. It was fun and the technology back then was raw but Mr.Rink was one of the leaders on bike technology. All in all Mr. Rink was a giver and a family man back then with his wife and his daughter Debbie and of course Mark. Mr.Rink should be thanked for affecting so many kids and young adults in a positive way. Where ever you are thanks Mr.Rink. Jimmy
